Right Direction Behavioral Health Services would like to inform our clients and families that the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is proposing changes to certain behavioral health rehabilitation services and authorization requirements that may begin rolling out on or after July 1, 2026.
These proposed changes may impact services such as:
- Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS)
- Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST)
- Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR)
- Day Treatment Services
At this time, our team is actively preparing to help ensure continuity of care and minimize any disruption in services. Your provider will be discussing these changes with you in more detail and answering questions regarding how this may affect your treatment plan moving forward.
For youth clients, participation in a CANS (Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths) assessment may also help determine eligibility for OhioRISE, a specialized Ohio Medicaid behavioral health program that offers additional support and care coordination services for qualifying youth.
Please know that Right Direction Behavioral Health Services remains committed to advocating for our clients and continuing medically necessary care.
